Never leave young children unsupervised near water
Swimming is a wonderful skill and one that is never lost. Through life it will promote health and fitness and it will also ensure safety and pleasure when on holidays. Water time is precious and the more practice the better. Little and often is much more productive than longer infrequent visits.
For children bath time can be a great opportunity to gain confidence. Encourage your child to splash water on her face, to put his face in the water and blow bubbles.
Never leave your child unsupervised in the bath
