Operation and Maintenance Team
Because of the complexity and size of the more recently built wastewater schemes Meath County Council set up an operation and maintenance team in 2002 to look after the newest facilities in the county.
This team which has 9 staff are currently in charge of 14 plants as well as the sludge treatment facility in Farganstown.
The local area offices continue to retain responsibility for the sewer networks on all the schemes as well as all the other wastewater plants. The water networks and treatments plants are looked after by the relevant area offices.
