Summerhill

Summerhill, a small village that has a demesne and ruins of what was regarded as the most dramatic of the great Irish Palladian Houses, accredited to architects Lovett Pearce and Richard Cassells in 1731. The castle here was destroyed by fire on a number of occasions and was completely gutted during the Civil War n 1922.
